I seem to be losing some of my mojo for I am struggling with coming up with some 'wow' cards. I play around with different things but just cannot come up with anything that makes me think 'wow'. So today, I have a 'so-so' card to show you, I kept with a Christmas theme. I made my flowers, Cuttlebugged to create texture and inked the edges. I created a frame for Tilda so that she can pop out more, added pearls around it and it is speckled with white but it is hard to see. I love this new border punch (well at least it is new for me) from Martha Stewart.
Well that is about all.... I would REALLY LOVE to hear from you on what I could have done to make it a 'wow' card.

Hi Karen! I think your card is very pretty just the way it is. You've given a lot of texture on the mats, your coloring is beautiful, and I love the ribbon treatment on the bottom where you cinched the ribbon. Don't be too hard on yourself! I love this card! Hugs, Cami

What are you talking about? This is very definitely a WOW card - much better than most of mine for sure! I love the colors you used here, the flowers are so pretty, and your image is beautifully colored. What more can you ask for? I personally would love to receive this in my mailbox! hugz, Angela

ReplyDeleteThis IS a WOW card! Your paper and colours are bright and the texture you have added with the CB and your white flecks of paint as well as your flowers are all great! Also the two frames around your fabulously coloured Tilda and the white of the border punch and your beautiful ribbon are all outstanding. Stand back and look at it later - I am sure you will see it then! It's gorgeous.......

Not sure what you're looking for, Karen. I think we're all our own worst critics, and your card really is beautiful! I love the colors you used, the paper is yummy, the way you did the ribbon is wonderful, and you did an awesome job on the flowers! Tilda is adorable and beautifully colored! I think anyone would be happy to receive this card. So try not to be so hard on yourself. :) hugs!!

Karen, to me this is a WOW card. I love the colours you've chosen. The rich colours hit you in the eyes and the colours go well together--very pleasing. I love this flower jean Tilda--one of first Tilda's. Beautifully coloured. Mojo's still there girl!!!
